Day 1 — Arrive Jaipur
Arrive, rest, and save energy. Evening: walk Bapu Bazaar or sit at a rooftop overlooking Hawa Mahal for sunset. Dinner of Laal Maas at a family restaurant.
Day 2 — Jaipur
Amer Fort at 0800 to beat crowds and heat. Jaigarh, Nahargarh, and Jantar Mantar. Evening: Chokhi Dhani if you like folk; skip if you don't.
Day 3 — Jaipur to Jodhpur
6-hour drive via Ajmer, or 1h flight. Arrive by evening. Sunset at Mehrangarh ramparts.
Day 4 — Jodhpur
Mehrangarh full morning, Jaswant Thada briefly. Afternoon: blue city walk through the old quarter. Shop for spices and antiques. Stay at a haveli like RAAS.
Day 5 — Jodhpur to Udaipur
6-hour drive via Ranakpur Jain Temple — allow 2 hours there. Arrive Udaipur by late afternoon, sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola.
Day 6 — Udaipur
City Palace morning. Afternoon: Monsoon Palace sunset for the view. Dinner on a floating restaurant.
Day 7 — Udaipur departure
Morning: Bagore-ki-Haveli museum. Fly out of Udaipur.
What we'd skip
- Pushkar if you're not doing the camel fair.
- Ajmer Sharif if you've only got a week.
- Mount Abu — too much of a detour.
